Account Deletion Explanation (User Information & Warning)
Things to Know Before Deleting Your Account:
Deleting your Aura account is permanent and irreversible. When your account is deleted, all your data stored in our systems will be immediately and permanently purged:
All Journals & Memories
All journal entries, written memories, and audio recordings you created are permanently deleted.
AI Artwork & Illustrations
Artistic illustrations generated with Aura AI and photos you uploaded are completely removed from servers.
Collections & Albums
All thematic albums and groupings you created are irreversibly deleted.
Chat & Search History
Conversations with the AI assistant and search history are cleared.
Credits & Rights
Remaining unused image or chat credits will be reset; they cannot be transferred or refunded.
Profile Information & Identity
Your email address, notification preferences, PIN code, and user profile are removed from our systems.
Note: Once your account is deleted, your old data cannot be restored even if you re-register with the same email address.
In-App Account Deletion Steps (How to Access & Delete)
Step-by-step guide explaining how users can access and complete account deletion within the application:
Go to the Profile Screen
Tap the Profile tab on the app's home screen or bottom navigation bar.
Find the Account Section
Scroll down the Profile screen to view the options under the Account section.
Tap "Delete Account"
Tap the "Delete Account" option highlighted in red with a trash can icon.
Initiate Permanent Deletion Confirmation
Review the summary of data to be deleted on the screen and tap the red "Permanently Delete My Account" button at the bottom.
Verify Your Password
For the security of the process, enter your current account password in the confirmation modal.
Complete the Process
Tap "Confirm & Delete Account". Once all your data is wiped, your session will be permanently logged out and you will be redirected to the initial Onboarding screen.

Deleting Aura Account and Associated Data:
Users may delete their accounts and all associated data from within the application at any time.
Deletion Steps:
- Sign in to the Aura app.
- Navigate to Profile > Account > Delete Account.
- Click Permanently Delete My Account and confirm by verifying your account password.
Deleted Data:
Account credentials (email, profile), all journal entries, memories, generated AI artwork, albums, chat history, and all stored local/cloud data are immediately and permanently wiped. No data is retained.
Cannot Access the Application?
If you have uninstalled the app from your device or cannot access your account, you can request permanent deletion by sending an email with subject 'Account Deletion Request' from your registered email address to aura@visualdiary.app.
